Relational Panic: A more complete understanding and interaction with panic attacks is the best answer to your suffering. What you feel, what you think, and what you do matter. Your suffering, symptoms, and panic are meaningful.
Relational loving can be and should be the natural holistic response to panic. It has the capability to soothe like no medication on earth. It has the capability to make our thinking clear. It has the capability to make our behavior meaningful. It is a powerful answer to any problem. We carry it with us at all times, and it needs no special equipment. This kind of relationship, once we've tried it, is powerfully enhancing and we will not give it up. Understandably, it has become a lost art.
Use relationship to help and expand the tools you already know in a whole new way... Don’t discard cognitive, behavioral, and medical, methods that treat your symptoms, but don’t believe these are the complete solution. Some may recover using only these methods, many do not. There is something that goes with each of these that is the real healing ingredient: relating.
The panic attack symptom package is the most powerful, the most painful, and the most devastating experience within the human condition. No other problem physically hurts like this one, and no other problem robs us like this one: physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
